Knockout Boxing Club Annual Fundraiser


Knockout Sports Foundation Inc. is hosting their first amateur boxing event, The Knockout Boxing Club “Gloves or Guns” Annual Fundraiser on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 10:00AM at the South Holland Community Center located at 501 E. 170th Street in South Holland, Illinois.


The Knockout Boxing Club will showcase the finest talent of 10 local Chicago area youth. Among those participating in this exceptional event will be Golden Gloves 2010 competitor, 19-year-old Alphonso Noggins and Chicago Park District Champions, 12-year-old Carlos Mondragon and his young brother, 8-year-old Erick Mondragon.

Tickets go on sale May 6, 2010. Ticket prices are $15.00 for adults, $5.00 for kids, and age 5 years and under are free. Visit www.knockoutnow.com.

The amateur boxing event will bring awareness to The Knockout Boxing Club and the services pro-vided through the Knockout Sports Foundation (KSF). This exhilarating fundraising event is to aid in the ex-pansion to the new KSF facility. Currently, the capacity of the KSF facility in Lansing, IL serves only a hand-ful of youth. KSF’s new facility, located in South Holland, IL will be able to serve a capacity of over 100 youth. The new home of KSF will stand near the Community Center and the local High School. The new home will bring the goals of KSF into action; a place where education is valued along with recognition of strengths, talents, and abilities in art and recreation.
