"Yolanda Hinton, an accomplished singer, has made great strides in developing and creating a unique and special musical style.

Born in Brooklyn New York, is where she was influenced and surrounded by many musical genres and talent.
Yolanda became involved in music at an early age; participated in musical productions and plays and always noticed for her beautiful, graceful character and great talent. Her signature brand is: “The Lady”.
Yolanda moved from New York to Virginia, after losing her father in a tragic subway accident. Her father’s death caused her to look deep inside her heart to find her purpose in life. She soon discovered people who were lonely and hurting, thus influencing her dream of traveling the world and reaching the masses with a message of hope and healing through music.

Cristo Records takes pleasure in introducing Yolanda Hinton in her newest single: "Just Keep Looking Up", a song from her forth coming project, entitled: "Giving You More".
Yolanda's new single, Just Keep Looking Up is an upbeat inspirational message that will encourage any listener.  Yolanda has recorded and toured throughout the United States and Overseas".

Correspondence with iHeartRADIO

Awaiting reply from iHeartRADIO

"I am a small radio promotion business, working on getting two of my artists' names out to the public. Both of them are young, intelligent women, singing with the intent of bringing a positive voice into the lives of as many people that they can reach.

I would very much like to get them on iHeartRADIO, because what they are saying is a benefit and they are both very talented women who deserve the recognition".

Initial correspondence with Pandora (

I been in conversation with Pandora about adding Just Keep Looking Up to their "Music Genome Project"

The Genome Project according to ( is:
The music genome project is a colossal effort to classify songs by using over 400 “genetic markers” that, applied to a song and taken together, help to create a kind of taxonomy of music. The genetic markers include everything from basic attributes such as whether a song is acoustic or electronic, to subtle qualities of the lead singer’s voice and all aspects of the arrangement -- right down to whether or not hand claps are in the mix. Dissonant harmonies, guitar effects, specific use of drums and cymbals, syncopation, orchestral music, and even subtle influences become part of the song’s DNA map.

The music genome project is the brainchild of 1988 Stanford graduate, Tim Westergren. The actual work of analyzing songs is carried out by a dedicated team of highly qualified technicians and musicians who reportedly spend 30-minutes analyzing every song that becomes part of the music genome project library. Virtually all music genres are included in the project.

You might be wondering what purpose such an interesting project could serve. The answer is to provide music-loving Web surfers with the ability to create free, personalized online radio stations that only play music the listener likes—even when it's music the listener has never heard before.

Pandora describes their "Music Genome Project" at as:
We believe that each individual has a unique relationship with music – no one else has tastes exactly like yours. So delivering a great radio experience to each and every listener requires an incredibly broad and deep understanding of music. That's why Pandora is based on the Music Genome Project, the most sophisticated taxonomy of musical information ever collected. It represents over ten years of analysis by our trained team of musicologists, and spans everything from this past Tuesday's new releases all the way back to the Renaissance and Classical music.
Each song in the Music Genome Project is analyzed using up to 450 distinct musical characteristics by a trained music analyst. These attributes capture not only the musical identity of a song, but also the many significant qualities that are relevant to understanding the musical preferences of listeners. The typical music analyst working on the Music Genome Project has a four-year degree in music theory, composition or performance, has passed through a selective screening process and has completed intensive training in the Music Genome's rigorous and precise methodology. To qualify for the work, analysts must have a firm grounding in music theory, including familiarity with a wide range of styles and sounds.
The Music Genome Project's database is built using a methodology that includes the use of precisely defined terminology, a consistent frame of reference, redundant analysis, and ongoing quality control to ensure that data integrity remains reliably high. Pandora does not use machine-listening or other forms of automated data extraction.
The Music Genome Project is updated on a continual basis with the latest releases, emerging artists, and an ever-deepening collection of catalogue titles.
By utilizing the wealth of musicological information stored in the Music Genome Project, Pandora recognizes and responds to each individual's tastes. The result is a much more personalized radio experience - stations that play music you'll love - and nothing else.

In regards to submission of Just Keep Looking Up for addition to their Genome Project for play on Pandora,

After searching through your Amazon account, I have found the Just Keep Looking Up Mp3, but we will need to fulfill the requirement of a physical CD with UPC code to submit it to Pandora for play.

The following is information that I received directly from Pandora after our most recent conversation:
Information for Artists Submitting to Pandora:

"Pandora thrives on the little-known and the yet-to-be-discovered. Introducing listeners to material they've never heard before is one of our central missions, and we welcome independent artists from all backgrounds and levels of visibility, working in all styles, to submit their music or comedy for possible inclusion on Pandora.

We have a deep respect for artists and their work, and we take the responsibility of curating Pandora's collection very seriously. We see an ever-growing number of submissions, and the task of selection is made even harder by the limits on our capacity for adding new content. So, while we feel a great affection and respect for everyone who makes the choice to create, the reality is that the majority of the music or comedy we receive does not get selected.

To submit music or comedy to Pandora, you'll need these items:

1) a CD of your music

2) a unique UPC code for that CD (To obtain your own UPC code at a low cost, click here. If you already have a UPC code for this particular CD--for instance, through your record label--use that one).

3) this CD to be available through Amazon as a physical CD (and not just as MP3s)--and for the name of each track to be listed in the Track Listing section on the page for that CD

4) the legal rights to your music

5) a standard free Pandora account, based on a valid email address, that will be associated with this submission

6) MP3 files for exactly two tracks from your CD

Note: It is only possible to submit one CD at a time to Pandora

Once you have all of these items ready to go, you can submit your music to Pandora"

On 10/15/2012, we explored advertising on Pandora and Pandora phone apps. This option was cost-prohibited at a $5,000 minimum start-up. We spoke with Account Executive Michaela Brady. Email correspondence follows:

Since October, we have been actively pursuing an add on Pandora, but have come across a roadblock with their physical CD requirement for the Just Keep Looking Up single. Looking into a cost-effective solution, we have created a Kickstarter account at the beginning of this campaign to possibly fund the physical  release, official UPC bar code and inclusion into the Soundscan database, and CD to be available through Amazon as a physical CD (and not just as MP3s) which we will need.
