Rogers Park Chamber seeks to landmark 7331 N. Sheridan Road

For Immediate Release: Rogers Park Chamber seeks to landmark 7331 N. Sheridan Road

The Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce, a not for profit organization that has been in Rogers Park since April of 2009 and currently has twenty-three members, is taking on an important community
endeavor: They are attempting to historically landmark 7331 N. Sheridan Road.

The Chamber had four days before a meeting in front of the Programs Committee of the Commission for Chicago Landmarks. What they decided to do is quite unusual. Their Secretary put together a petition to show the committee that they had the community's support.

In just four days, the Chamber Secretary, Autumn Davids, and President, Bill Morton, had visited many Rogers Park businesses and collected 156 signatures for the landmark of the building. After their presentation in front of the Programs Committee, the Chamber decided to create a second petition as a continuation of the first.

The Second Petition states the criteria that is applicable for 7331 N. Sheridan Road and requests that signers mail in the petition directly to the Programs Committee.

The Chamber has requested that those who signed the first petition do not sign the second. The reasoning behind this decision is that the Chamber wants the second petition to be a continuation of the first that gained 156 signatures.
